Winter Storybook Walk near the spring
In partnership with the St. Louis Public Library and the St. Louis Black Authors of Children’s Literature, the Forest Park Forever Education Team invites you to read Kash & Palmer Present...I Love Myself! by local authors Stanley K. Harvey and Tavonda P. Harvey in Forest Park this season.
Storybook Walks are self-guided and not weather dependent. Individual pages of the book are posted sequentially along the path, encouraging visitors to read along while enjoying time in the Nature Playscape!
Dates: January 31–March 1
Cost: Free
Location: Anne O’C. Albrecht Nature Playscape, near the spring (map below)
Parking: Free parking is available on streets and in lots near the World’s Fair Pavilion.
Biking: Bike racks are located at two entrances to the Nature Playscape (map below).
Transit: The MetroBus 90 Hampton route has northbound and southbound stops nearby at Concourse at Washington.
Weather: This program is not weather dependent.
Spring Storytime in the meadow
Bring your imagination! Our Education Team host Spring Storytime in Forest Park at 10:00 a.m. on Monday mornings from March 16 until May 16.
Storytime is open to children of all ages and their caregivers. This seasonal, outdoor event series is a great way to connect with nature, books and community. Our St. Louis Public Library partners lead stories and songs, and we bring snacks, water and picnic blankets.
