Forest Park is our region’s greatest treasure — an indispensable civic asset and a place of beauty and discovery that connects our entire community. And never has the Park been so vital to our community’s health and well-being than it is today.

As you can imagine, it’s expensive to maintain a space so vast and popular. Thankfully, the Leffingwell Society members of Forest Park Forever play a leadership role in ensuring the Park remains beautiful and well-maintained. Their annual membership gifts provide more than 75% of the annual funds our nonprofit uses to help maintain and sustain Forest Park.

  • Hiram W. Leffingwell, a civil engineer and pioneering real estate developer, was one of the founders of Forest Park in 1876. An early leadership donor to the Park, his gift began a tradition that continues today with our members.
