Volunteer Opportunities

With the exception of group projects with chaperones, we cannot accept volunteer applicants under the age of 18.

Land Management

  • Weekly Monday-Friday

    • One morning a week from 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

  • Options include:

    • Horticulture

      • Seasonal planting, weeding, pruning, watering and mulching in various cultivated beds in the Park

    • Nature Reserve

      • Season exotic species control to restore ecosystem’s function and structure within natural communities, seasonal planting and mulching in the Nature Reserve areas in the Park.

  • Kennedy Woods Advisory Group (KWAG)

    • Native Restoration in the Savanna near Kennedy Forest

  • Special Events

    • Help Forest Park Forever staff with directing and assisting guests, recycling, concessions and a variety of tasks at one our public or member events.

  • Fundraising Committees

  • Group Opportunities – Corporations, universities and high schools

    • Park projects include invasive species control, park clean up, or mulching & planting

  • Information Desk

    • The Forest Park Visitor Center Information Desk is staffed by Explore St. Louis Volunteers. For more information and to apply please visit Explore St. Louis website.

  • Flora Conservancy

    • An independent nonprofit that offers weekly volunteer opportunities in Forest Park on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. 9:00-11:00 a.m. For more information visit this page or call 314.289.5323.
